    Join the IACT17 committee!

Behind every year’s IACT program is an enthusiastic student committee. We are currently seeking our next cohort of bright and passionate volunteers to help run IACT17, the program’s tenth year.

As part of the committee, you will develop your entrepreneurial and business skills, get hands-on experience running a recognised program and build relationships within the academic, government and corporate sectors, as well as key players from Canberra’s startup ecosystem.


Roles available


4x Program Officers

We are seeking committee members to support the implementation of the IACT17 program and to engage directly with participants and other program stakeholders throughout the program. This role would best suit students who have a demonstrated interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, and are interested in further developing their skills in this space and building networks within the local startup community.

1x Communications Officer

We are seeking a committee member to assist with the marketing and communications aspects of the program, including writing articles, blog posts and press releases about the program, assisting in managing IACT social media channels and coordinating marketing campaigns around promotion of the IACT program. This role would best suit students who have a demonstrated interest in marketing, communications and/or PR and are interested in developing their skills in this space.


About you


  • You will be enrolled as a student at one of the following institutions from July to October (inclusive) 2017: ANU, UC, CIT, AIE, UNSW, ACU, CSU.
  • You will be able to commit at least six hours per week from July to October (inclusive) 2017, including attending some events and meetings on weekends or after hours.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills, time management skills and be able to work with little direction.
  • Past participation in IACT would be favourable but not required.
